Dancewave’s Kids Company is a dance
troupe of teenagers, ages 12-18, selected
by audition from all over New York City.
This exceptional company provides a professional environment for
young people
that both challenges and encourages them
to excel. The company works with internationally renowned American
choreographers on groundbreaking work
that expands the horizons of both the kids,
and the modern dance world giving the
kids an opportunity to understand and experience a diverse array
of styles and
artistic viewpoints.
Kids Company repertoire includes works by Twyla Tharp, Mark Morris,
David Dorfman, Doug Varone, Bill T. Jones, Donald Byrd, and Paul Taylor.
Company coaches are Mirielle Radwan-Dana,
Jennifer Way-Rawe, Maya Berry, and Diane Jacobowitz.
