Two professionally-produced performances showcasing high school dancers from all over NYC dancing alongside leading college dance departments, as well as a day of free classes for all city teens taught by members of your dance faculty.

Kids Cafe Festival, Brooklyn's premiere family event, celebrates the talents of NYC youth by presenting dance, music, and theater created by and for young people. Now in its 17th year, our festival features over 250 talented youth from throughout New York City, and professional host artists. Since its inception, Kids Cafe Festival has reached over 16,000 audience members.
Each year's festival theme celebrates a dance group or culture. Past Festival productions have been hosted by artists such as The New York Chinese Cultural Center (traditional Chinese dance), Taikoza (Japanese drumming group), Sita Frederick (Salsa), Puella Lunaris (Flamenco), Rennie Harris Pure Movement Ensemble (Hip-Hop), Ogans (Afro-Brazilian dance and music ensemble), Circus Amok (gender bending circus), Keeley Garfield (performance art), the Sandra Cameron Swing Dancers (Swing Dance ensemble) and Peter Pucci Sport (exploring the intersection of sports and dance).
